About the Grant
$30,000 to support ODD (MAP 2010), is an evening-length series of dances choreographed by Shinichi Iova-Koga in collaboration with AXIS Dance Company and composer/musician Joan Jeanrenaud.
About the Project
The collaboration for ODD is inspired by the paintings of Odd Nerdrum, an Iceland-based contemporary painter whose work evokes the style of Rembrandt, yet depicts images that merge archaic existence with modern artifacts. ODD will be a meeting place of inkBoat, AXIS and Joan Jeanrenaud. It will premiere at ODC in San Francisco in November 2010.
